Well *volpe-de-fuego I do hope you love this as much as I do
I think this is my best piece to date honestly, granted there are little flaws like the markers not wanting to cooperate 100%, what with some tips not being as fine as they used to be and some markers having more ink to provide than others, they like to bleed over sometimes. Either way though, I'm REALLY satisfied with this one I hope y'all enjoy it as much as I did
Well on to the real description:
This is a gift piece for *volpe-de-fuego of her OC Garg (you met her in my previous submission) Kiya and Brooklyn meeting for the first time. Or shortly after they first met, either way, he's done something she's not at all happy about as you can see.
And noooo he didn't do anything perverted, just placed a hand on her shoulder or something and she responded with a "DON'T touch me!!" emphasized by one of her daggers and a snarl. Kind of a serious warning to keep his hands off even if it's just a common friendly gesture. Poor Brook he seems a little surprised.
OH and for any of those who might ask, their shadows are the way they are because technically the moon is high overhead, but for the perspective here it looks like it's behind them in the background. Hope that makes sense it does in my mind anyway lol
I had a ton of fun with this as well because I actually incorporated a couple other medias, not just my Prismacolor markers. The stars and the lights on the building towers I did with a whiteout pen, coloring over the one that's red with one of my red markers. Then I took a white and a red Prismacolor Verithin pencil and did the emphasis around the crescent moon and the lights. I hope it looks good. The scan doesn't do this piece justice at all really.
Well I hope you enjoy it and I REALLY hope you like it *volpe-de-fuego
Oh wow This is so neat!! What a surprise, thank yyooooouu I'm still very flattered that you enjoy drawing Kiya, and I love this one you did of her and Brooklyn. Yes, after being kidnapped and barely escaping the Pack with her life, being touched by a stranger is the last thing Kiya needs, even if it is just a tap on the shoulder LoL
Your drawing and coloring skills never cease to amaze me, and even if the markers are going out as you say, I can't really tell. The overall picture outshines all that, and great technique with the white-outand red pens I must try that, too! I think the shadows and background looks awesome, too, not to mention those amazing expressions I love it all!!
This is such a great gift, Stang, thank you soo much I must draw something for you now! By the way, do you have an anatomy setup for when you're drawing Gargoyles? I'd like to see a reference for that, like your anthro/wolf/lion tutorials
Wow, this is really beautiful. I looked through your journals for a little info, but I couldn't find anything, really... are you taking trades at all? I would love to see my character in your style sometime, if you are. Anyway, this is impressive, I love the expressions and the claw marks in the wall. And... her fangs. Those're some good fangs.

Whoa this is beautiful, honey. I feel sorry for Brooklyn there since he probably was about to get along with the wrong gargoyle there since he looks terrified by the fact what's going on here. Anyway, awesome job. I'm sure this person you did for will love it. ^^

and yeah I think it's mostly the dagger at his throat that's got him terrified (I would be too ), Kiya's a sweetheart in reality, she's just new to NYC and kinda mistrusting at this point. Not gonna give away anymore since it's volpe's character
and right now I'm working through some commissions, so I'm not doing any trades or requests at the moment, THOUGH sometime in the future I plan to take some, but I'm not sure when since I didn't realize it'd take me so long to get any progress on my commissions. School decided to be demanding, more so than before, this term
YAY I'm so glad you like it it was really fun and I enjoyed employing some different techniques, techniques I haven't tried before.
and actually, that's a good idea a kind of Gargoyles Stang Style tutorial page or something I can definitely show my process I'll have to do that soon I think I was gonna do something like that for someone else so glad to see there's more interest, it'll make it worth while
