Kaidamyst and Amaroc by StangWolf Kaidamyst and Amaroc by StangWolf
It's a little cut off in places, since the paper is just a tiny bit too big for my scanner.

This is the lineart of my Kaidamyst & Amaroc sketch, but due to a few things I don't think it will be seeing color.

The main reason is because Kaidamyst is no longer a Tauren (and not really Kaidamyst anymore either) she's now K‚ida and is a female Worgen hunter now.

Another reason is I was too slow and now we are...quite a ways from the gear she has on here. Most of this is Wrath gear, and not even the Tier 10 gear either.

I still like it though, and who knows I may go back at some point and finish coloring it. I still have screenshots of her in this gear, plus it shouldn't be too hard to look up the gear sets.

Anyway, I do miss her being a Tauren somewhat, but I don't know, the Worgen are really growing on me.

Enjoy!

All I ask is credit given for the lineart and sorta Kaidamyst and Amaroc since they're my WoW characters. :thanks:

I love the lines you've made and how the outer line is thicker than others. It's a very impressive drawing even without colours! I really, really like it.

Sometimes doing the lineart is the most fun part, I enjoy being able to do little detailed stuff with my pens :aww:

Well thank you! :thanks: The detail was part of why I wanted to draw this way back last year. It is also why I think I'm gonna do a piece for each of my WoW characters as they are now, or well, maybe with armor I hope to get them at some point :XD:

O.O Such beautiful lineart! What size pens do you use to ink? Do you use a brush tip for the outermost outlines?

I've got a set of Prismacolor Premier markers, or ink pens. Their sizes range from .005 (the teeny tiny lines) all the way up to C which is a chisel tip pen. I usually use the .005, .01, and .05 in my line work, but sometimes I use some of the others. It's always nice to have a variety to work with

When I do the borders I usually just use a ruler to make the frame and then color it in with one of my black markers. Quicker that way and saves my little pens since all that would probably ruin them pretty quick lol.

My friend lent me his. I have all those pens but I also have a .03, a .08, a brush tip and a chisel tip (I rarely use the last one, and my .01 doesn't write). I usually outline mine in .03 or .05, and then use the brush tip for a border. But my brush is drying out, so I usually just use my .05 or .08 to border.

I would use my black but I'm too afraid it'll dry out since I use black way too much...I need to get a lot of my markers replaced soon. I got them for this past Christmas and my Poppy Red, Light Cerulean Blue and Blue Slate are gonna die pretty soon. Just the other day I bought a Process Blue Copic marker because I couldn't find a True Blue Prisma to replace the one that was dying.

My life's so hard XD

Oh nice!

I have .005, .01, .03, .05, .08, B (Brush tip) & C (Chisel tip) in the set I got recently. Or well I have two sets that are exactly the same, since I use my pens a LOT. I just bought them maybe a month or so ago though, since my old pens were doing what it sounds like some of yours are, drying out and kinda dying on me

I also have a black Copic marker, I think 5 regular black Prismacolor Markers (the gray set I bought came with three in it lol), two "jet black" Prismacolor markers, and a "warm black" Prismacolor Marker. Somehow I ended up with a BUNCH of black markers lol, but ya can't go wrong with black, since like you said, I use mine a lot.

Hmm have you tried dickblick.com? That's where I just got some new blue and green markers (as well as a new "jet black" and regular black marker, before I relized the gray set had three in it lol). Got them all individually, I even got a "true blue" one since I do use that one a lot too. I'd say if you haven't tried there you should check it out, that's where I get all of my art stuff. However, I do know it is possible for them to be out of stock every now and again on some markers, or I'm sure they do every now and then, I haven't had it happen yet, but I'm sure it's possible.

It is hard trying to keep track of art supplies lol. I had to sit down and go through all my markers individually to see which one's were dead or dying before I ordered new ones. What a job :XD:

If I only I had the money to afford all those markers! Counting the ones I have for Christmas, I originally had 24...then I got a Cool Grey 40% and a Light Peach...then 'cause I use cool grey so much I had to get a second 40% and a 60% to shade it with. I also got ultramarine (great choice on my part) and I replaced my Cool Grey 40% AGAIN and got a new black. So I've had about 30 markers. The rest are just so expensive to get. I want to take commissions but I can't set up a Paypal 'cause I'm just not old enough. I hope I can soon, though, I want to get new markers ASAP. XD

How many markers do you have, exactly?

I know what you mean, the main set of markers I have was a Christmas gift a couple years ago. I'm glad I had some extra cash when I did to order those markers. The set I got for Christmas was 144. I've got some duplicates now since I just bought some new blue and green ones as well as a new 12 set of cool gray (ranges 10% through 90% and has the three black markers as well), but generally the set I have is 144. I'm not sure if that's ALL the colors Prismacolor makes or not, I haven't checked in a while.

Ultramarine is my FAVORITE color out of them all. It is also the base color I use for Tala and actually matches the real life color of my car almost spot on, I think my car might just have a hit of purple in it though. The purple comes out at night mostly when I'm parked under the florescent lights at like gas stations.

I hear ya, but a nice set of 30 is definitely a good set! How old do you have to be to get a PayPal set up? I started posting art online in 2006 and I was 19 at the time, almost 20, and I didn't take commission until a year or two later, so I never even looked to see what the minimum age to start a PayPal was.

That sounds REALLY costly. My set of 24 cost $90 or so, so I'm guessing 144 must cost a couple hundred dollars.

I really like ultramarine 'cause blue's my favorite color. Plus I use it on a lot of my characters. The only blue thing I have that I really like is my Nintendo DS, the really old kind. Ha ha.

You have to be 18 to have a Paypal, I think...I'm almost 15 now, so I would have my parents or my sister set one up for me. It's really frustrating, 'cause not only do I want to take commissions I want to commission other artists...

I believe it was around $200+ or so. Was my gift I got for Christmas that year for sure.

I can relate for sure, blue is my favorite color too :aww: I use it a lot on my characters too. I was just thinking today while I was coloring "Club Can't Handle Me" and the piece with Toric, that I use blue and gray/black a LOT! Oh wow lol, I have a Gameboy Color and a Gameboy Advance and I think a Gameboy SP or whatever it was called. I still LOVE my Gameboy Color & the Advance the best though. Once is like a clear purple plastic, and then the Advance is an ice blue color. I actually just used the Advance on our flight to Orlando lol, musta looked kinda funny bustin out with my Gameboy when there was a kid with one of those PSP's on the flight :XD:

Ah yeah that would make sense, 18 is like the magic age for EVERYTHING...well except drinking. Hang in there, maybe soon someone will work with you and you can get one set up and start taking commissions  I can understand the frustration though.
